What we expect from suppliers
Egyptian consumer protection law places obligations on suppliers to follow health, safety, and quality standards and ensure products conform to applicable Egyptian standards (or relevant international standards where local specifications are not available).Â
We therefore ask suppliers to meet these baseline expectations:
- Product quality & safety: Provide products that are safe, authentic, and compliant with applicable regulations.Â
- Accurate product information: Provide essential product data (e.g., source/origin, price, features, key characteristics).Â
- Arabic-ready documentation: Consumer-facing documents (e.g., invoices/receipts/consumer instructions, where applicable) should be available in Arabic, with optional additional languages.Â
- Traceability: Batch/lot details when relevant (e.g., food, cosmetics, supplements: [CATEGORY_SCOPE_UNSPECIFIED]).
- Ethical sourcing: No counterfeit products; fair labor practices (verification approach: [UNSPECIFIED]).
